Good choice Jean, I have that recipe flagged already. I'll probably sub tenderloin tip for the rib-eye though. IMHO, rib-eyes are for meant for grilling.

I'm in.

I agree - I have other beef in the freezer I'll use. I'm glad this one looked good to you, also.

Going to be on the road too close to the deadline, so I'll sit this one out.
Eventually, I'd really like to try a lamb or goat biryani, but those are meats I can't get very easily here.

I'll have to re-read the Beef Biryani and see if I can make it without sweet potatoes. Maybe just regular potatoes. Just not a fan of sweet potatoes I guess.

I'm torn between using Butternut squash or Swt. tatoes, Laura. I think any of these squashes would work also. Little more flavor than regular tatoes.

Pumpkin may also be a good option. It's not uncommon in Thai curries (esp. red curry), for example, and isn't quite as sweet as sweet potatoes or butternut squash.

I'm going to bow out. I look forward to the reviews, though. I'm entering crazy time at school. I have not experimented AT ALL this year, due to the fact that I am barely hanging onto life by my toenails. Retirement can't come too soon! I plan to catch up on a whole lot of things then!
