What's on the menu for everyone today??

Not sure here - have a steak thawing out and I'm smoking a brisket for tomorrow.

Big day for cooking here. My daughter, SIL, and little Harper cutie are coming over for an early dinner. Brittany is still a vegetarian, so we are swinging that way, for the most part.

Menu for today:
  • Asian Wok Seared Green Beans
  • Kung Pao Cauliflower
  • Vegetarian Egg Foo Yung (ala Blane)
  • Scallion Pancakes w/Ginger Dipping Sauce
  • Fried Rice
  • Pineapple Crisp (ala Jean)

Can't wait to have my woks going and the wonderful smells of the Orient in the house!

Plus that cute little cutie pa-tootie, Harper.

The grandkiddies are enjoying "make your own pizza" day and want us to join in, so we will be doing that. I am taking a mixed veggie salad and Olive Garden's Italian dressing that we are all hooked on.

That sounds fantastic Laura, what a great menu.

Tonight I'm making Tuscan Veal Piccata from the Celebrate the Rain cook book.
And how appropriate, it's raining.

It's supposed to be 90 here.

We are doing our traditional corned beef and trimmings today. It's just a lot easier for me to do something that cooks a long time on a weekend otherwise I'd have to shut off the stove for 45 minutes for school pickup.

We are going to a dinner to honor a long time chef

I have taken lots of his classes

We are all going to meet at a friends home. And we will all cook the meal. Together

Taking a bottle of wild horse. Cab. To share

Should be really fun to see every one.
Everything will be all right in the end. So if it is not right, then it's not yet the end.

Cool and drizzling all day here. And I'm totally clueless about dinner.

Maybe a short nap will clear things up.

Laura that sounds like the perfect dinner. I'm not sure what we're having. Today is an early work day. The briskets are going in the smoker in a few minutes for tomorrow.

I think maybe Swiss steak, pasta or potatoes?, and green beans.
