Best Play Dough recipe ever!

Tommy's teacher told me this stays soft for a few months. So much nicer than store bought play dough.

Play Dough

Mix together:
3 cups flour
1 1/2 C. salt
6 t. cream of tartar

Then stir together
3 C. warm water
3 T. oil
food coloring

Slowly add liquid to dry mixture, blending with wisk until smooth. Heat on medium and stir continuously until it begins to "clump" together. Just before all the liquid seems to be absorbed, remove from heat and turn onto a board or the counter. When cool enough to handle, knead until smooth.

When stored in a sealed plastic bag, it lasts 2 months or longer--many hours of fun!!!

I can tell you it works and I use to make it for Laura. But I took it one step further and added 1 pkg Unsweetened Kool Aid to it. So the red smelled like strawberry, the green was lime etc.

Wow, I love this idea, Denise! This is not something that I have ever done, so it seems like such a novelty.
