Looking for a dry rub for the turkey ?
Any tried and true ?
I tried a wine and butter and cheesecloth basting last year.
For me it didn't work out. So I'm looking into a dry rub

I have oodles of dry rubs, but since I've found Tony Chachere's seasoning products, I'd probably give them a try.
The only time I dry rub a turkey (with anything other than S&P and maybe onion & garlic granules) is when I'm going to smoke it. Are you smoking your turkey, Marye??

The recipe that I posted the link to is not smoked, but roasted. After the rub is applied, the bird is refrigerated overnight (which makes me wonder now if I will have enough room in the refrigerator for it...).

I am using a herb rub on the small turkey breast
And found one last night on a ssouthwest blend. Will use it on big turkey.
Yours looks good too. Will try for christmas

Jean. Not smoking. Roasting. So will let them set 24 hours and then roast.
