I'm making Daphne's dinner and so looking forward to it.

I made Daphne's B'day dinner last night.

Today it's pan fried filets with brandy-mushroom sauce and roasted asparagus.

Oh that sounds good Blane. I think I will make myself Steak Diane even though Tony isn't home. It's easy and fast and I have mushrooms and asparagus to use.

I'm doing my birthday dinner tonight, as well. I need to get off here and get my prep done so we can relax in the afternoon sunshine while we cook! First dinner on the deck!

My prep is all done and I'm ready for a glass of wine!

Is it unfair to make this comment on the dinner condiment - why ask for such an unGodly amount of remoulade for two stinking sandwiches?? What a waste!

I think we talked about that last week, Jean. Someone said that you are suppose to use the remolade with the fries. We did not and had quite a bit l/o with every intention of using on "something" and never did, so it's getting dumped.

Dinner tonight will be something very light, maybe a cup of soup. We went to Chinatown today for dim sum with two other couples. Pretty full right now.

I missed that, also! I left it off the review, but I have a ridiculous amount of sauce left, and we didn't really care for it. Jean's is so much better.
