What's on the menu for everyone today??

Using first pkg. of my pesto for a bowl of pesto pasta with garlic bread and Roy picked more plums, so probably will give in and make another 1/2 pie.

Here's my stash for the winter of pesto - Rewarding to look in the freezer now with all the goodies I've been able to put up.

Tony is making marinara sauce, meatballs and then finally a pan of lasagna. I think I need to rearrange my freezer.

Heather gave us tickets for a comedy show at the Hard Rock "Rocksino" so we will be going to that and maybe play a few slots. There are several places to eat in the casino, so we will probably have some bar food while we are there.

We had Orange-Glazed Salmon with Lemon Scented Rice and Garlicky Green Beans. YUM! The salmon was thick and cooked up PERFECTLY! It is so exciting to have access to good fresh ingredients again! It has pushed me to menu plan again. Can't wait for Tuesday to shop for next week's ingredients and cook again! I'm beginning to think that has been the problem....the stimulation of good fresh ingredients? Plus I have yummy food planned! Nothing really anything new, yet, but things I'm excited about.

Welcome back to the food world, Daphne! The quality and freshness does make all the difference, doesn't it. Your dinner sounds pretty close to what we're having Monday night with salmon Houseboat Don brought us.

Daphne, what a thrill to have a new store and be happy with it. Hope you will have more free time in your future to enjoy cooking again!

I hope so! I think William is going to start riding with Andrew to work, at least a day or two, anyway. Thankfully, the hospital where he gets occupational therapy is within walking distance of the office. I will want to go with him at least once a week, though, so I can shop for groceries.
