Saturday's Dinner, 1/2/16??

Whooohoo! I remembered it was 2016

What's on the menu for everyone today?

I'm still hesitant to go back to anymore rich food for a few days, so going to stick a beautiful steak in the freezer which I wanted to top with foie gras, and wait a while to enjoy.

I'm thinking I may make burritos out of Lab's Carapulcra.

True, but you forgot how to spell "Saturday."

Sounds like a neat use for the leftovers.
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

Brrr 19 degrees outside.

Carylann has the kitchen and is making Herbed Chicken Breasts with black pepper gravy, asparagus on the side.

16 degrees here, fire in the fire place and no clue about dinner. Still feeling like being under my blanket

Has anyone done a full chicken in a crockpot before? I keep seeing pic's of folks who have "roasted" a whole chicken, but every time I do any type of meat in the cb it ends up becoming shredded.

You mean whole as in not butchered? No. I can't wrap my mind around it either.

It was 19° when I got up - warmed up to 24° now!

I did one one time Denise. I had a pile of unbrowned skin (of course, how could it brown?) and bones. Threw it all out.

We are going to an outdoor mall today with lots of eating options and meeting my sister's family. We are meeting for a drink and appetizers here I think, then probably wind up at the Yard House because the kids can always find something there.

We might even just send them off for ice cream first while we have our appetizers.

Nice catch, Labs! That made for hilarious reading!!!! Poor Jean, I'm sorry.

I'm thinking about burgers. Last night's dinner was really rich, so I feel like we need something a little milder for dinner tonight. But I'm still open for ideas.

HaHa...(deleted for good reason), Daphne!

That's exactly how we're feeling - no more rich food for a while. We're having split pea soup for our noon meal and split a burrito layer
