Fried eggplant for dessert?

I checked out one of Emeril's cookbooks from the library yesterday. He says that battered and fried eggplant sticks sprinkled with 10X sugar is a long standing dish in New Orleans. Who knew?

That might make me appreciate eggplant a little more!! You're so good - getting books from the library!! I have got to start doing that, but, I hate giving them back.

I have to quit doing that! I've wound up buying every single cookbook I've ever checked out of the library. I must keep my library card just for audio books . . . for gawd's sake we live in a motor home! This last one is over 800 pages!
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!
