Re: DINNER THREAD, 9/18 - 9/24/17 by cjs ([b][u][size=medium]M...)
Making dinner for my dad tonight and he has been wanting a good old-fashioned beef stew for a while now. So, that's what I'm making along with a loaf of 18 hour bread.
ETA: Our dinner turned into family night, so we'll have some extra guests at the table. Went to the store for a box of wine and made a chocolate cake with Italian buttercream frosting. Not exactly a diet meal, but Dad will be very happy.

How fun Maryann. I love those impromptu get together meals.
I ended up making biscuits and sausage gravy for dinner last night, so tonight will be the lasagna.

Thursday's Dinner--9/21/17??
What's for dinner?
We are having corned beef sandwiches on a good rye bread. I put the corned beef in the slow cooker overnight. Sure smells good in here. Not sure what we'll do for a side. Maybe a few tots.

I'm making this Noble Pig recipe - super simple, all pantry ingredients.

I think I'll make some steamed carrots, zucchini and yellow squash on the side.

I've made it before MA-it's very tasty considering how basic it is. Would be good over rice but still trying to limit some of those carbs.

I never made the waffles, I don't think, but the pizza does sound tempting! Yum.
