Maryann, it never did give off those lovely aromas, and it wasn’t nearly as tender as we are used to having. I’ll be doing it with the pressure setting from now on.

It's going to take an awful lot to change my mind about using my 40 year old cast iron dutch oven for pot roast. It's amazing every time and the house smells heavenly!
