Re: (...)
Hey guys,
What's going to cooking at your house this Memorial Day?
I haven't made up my mind what I'm going to fix, so I thought I'd ask around and see what others were planning.

It depends on what the 800 pound gorilla wants. He'll be home this weekend, so I'll cook whatever he wishes.
Don't wait too long to tell someone you love them.

Perhaps the banana trifle in the June issue would be of interest to a gorilla

My kids and grandkids are coming. We are preparing a jerk pork loin with starfruit and pineapple sauce (already done and wonderful!!), marinated shrimp, chicken salad, pasta salad from Bon Appetit, a pineapple sage cake, and smoked baby back ribs--they will be here thru Sunday so we need a lot of food. Something else but I forgot--that happens at my age. Happy holiday, Bill (I just remembered--a deep dish Chicago pizza-recipe Uno)

Memorial Day food - 2006
Well, we just had ribs last weekend, 30 lbs., so don't think so for this year,....but the "marinated shrimp, chicken salad, pasta salad from Bon Appetit" from Bill sounds good if I can find it with Bill gone.
guess I'll check the other years....
