Five All Time Favorite Recipes....
#11
  Re: (...)
A friend of mine came up with the damndest request - he wants me to send him my five favorite - all time favorites - recipes so he can try them. Can any of you think of anything that would be harder for a cook/foodie to do?????

Don, my friend (BillyJ & Lorraine met him), has just redone a house boat (top to bottom) and installed marble countertops, Wolfe stove, the whole shootin' match, and now he wants to cook!!

So, I'll show you mine, if you show me yours!!

This took a lot of thinking and mentally tasting -

and as is always said, they are in no particular order...

Chez Tom's Breakfast Torte
Blueberry Cream Cheese Muffins
Caviar "Pie"
Cream Cheese Flan (Flan de Queso)
Roquefort Dressing
Bresaola Llayered with 3-Peppercorn Chevre & Huckleberry Puree
Pork Stuffed Poblanos with Walnut Cream Sauce

I know, that's seven, but I couldn't not include any of these....Your turn!!

Oooh, that is a tough one! I think I have it though...

Mushroom Croustades (BHG)
Crispy, Crunchy, Fried Chicken (The Yellow Farmhouse Cookbook)
Flank Steak with/Chimichurri (Gourmet)
Chocolate Fiesta Fantasy Cake (BHG Simply Perfect Chocolate 1998)
Chicken Makhani (Complete Indian Cooking)

Whew! That was hard!

Pork Stuffed Poblanos with Walnut Cream Sauce
Brown sugar bourbon ribs (CJS')
Cochinita Pibil
Chocolate chile pots de creme
Love Goddess cake with raspberries
Stuffed cabbage or Swedish meatballs??????????

Yeah, that's more than 5 but I have to have them on a regular basis.
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!

This is really hard. But here is some:

Hot Artichoke Spinach dip
Stuffed mushrooms - my mom's recipe
Grilled Rib Eye and twice baked potatoes
Glazed corned beef and browned basil new potatoes
Indian stuffed chicken breast - CAH
Apricot Almond Biscotti - BA
Grommon's Sacher-Torte

Some of these are regulars - some only on rare occasions - like the torte!

The time is flying by.

You may not be able to count good people, but what a gold mine of goodies. Mine is a funny list, but I am a bit odd.

Black lentil dahl and Roti. G. Tangri
Stuffed potatoes. Annie Wilson (1910)
Carbonade (?sp) of beef. (Mine)
Beef stroganoff
Cream of potatoes with onion sparkles. (Nancy Chumun)
