Re: (...)
I am attempting a focaccia recipe today - not a real bread baker, but I am attempting.
The recipe calls for a 13x9 inch baking pan. Do you think I need a metal pan? with 2" sides, a mettal pan with 1" sides or can I use a 9x13 glass pan?
It also says to put on a baking stone (the pan with the bread in it) in the oven. This might impact.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not much of a baker myself, but when I make Focaccia, I use a metal sheet pan - 1" or 2", I don't think it makes much difference.
Baking bread in a pyrex dish? I've never done that, but maybe someone has.....
Are you caramelizing onions to top the foccacia??
drool.

I make it on a cookie sheet. OK, ok, not too often, as I'm no baker either, but it turns out!!!!

I didn't have the onions - so maybe next time.
This time I am making Rosemary Focaccia with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. YUM. Hopefully it will turn out. I am serving it with Lasagna soup for dinner.

Hey, I didn't do too bad for a first timer! Kinda proud of myself. I didn't have a metal 9x13 so I split it and put in two 9" round cake pans. One of my son's doesn't like tomatoes, so I made one with and one without. When I get the recipe put in master cook I will post it - probably tomorrow.
