Tried out my rose vinegar for the first time yesterday - and I must say it made a tasty appy!!

Rose Red Vinegar Wings
Gina/kitchencapers

10 chicken wings
20g Salted butter (had none, used a little unsalted)

Marinade:
100ml Rose Red Vinegar
2 T. Sesame oil
1 tsp. sugar

Marinate wings for 1 hour.
Preheated oven 200C (~400 F) for 15 min.
Brush wings with melted butter and roast for 10-15 min.
Serve immediately.

Well, you all know I didn't do these in the oven - I grilled them. Very good flavor.

Anxious to make some salad dressings with this. This first batch was with the white distilled vinegar. The rice vinegar batch will be done next week....

Wow, isn't that pretty! Jean, is the vinegar smell diluted some by the roses?

I know it's hard to visualize (or smellalize... ), but it's a softer aroma. When you taste the vinegar (this is the 'hard stuff'-white distilled), at first it's just vinegary, but there is a soft 'rose' after taste.

I'm so anxious to taste the rice vinegar one.
