Sugarbrown's Mama's recipe -
1 cup butter
1 cup bacon fat (or if you've got a daughter who refuses to eat pig - another cup'a butter)
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 t garlic salt
1 t onion salt
1 t celery salt
Please pay attention to the size of the 't's'
6-8 drops tabasco sauce
1 box cheerios
1 box rice chex (or if you're in Canada - Crispix..NOT Shreddies....blech....too sweet)
2 cans mixed nuts
1 bag pretzel sticks
Dump all obvious stuff in a VERY large ovenproof bowl.
Cook all the other obvious stuff in a pan on the stove.
Don't burn!
Pour melted mixture slowly over the cereals et al and have someone else stir while doing so!
Heat in a 200 degree F oven for one hour....stirring every 20 minutes or so.
After an hour, turn off the oven, and let the conglomeration sit in the oven for however long you feel like.
EAT and ENJOY.
We freeze this in ice cream pails, and then heat up every so often for guests (or Cindy) and pig out...yum.
