Povitica

  Re: (...)
Marye (mjkandzor) - asked if any of us make Povitica - after searching and finding that picture of it, I was on a mission. There are lots of recipes out there for this, but...I hope Marye will see this and post hers.

Do you make individual ones or do you cut it for gifts to give?

I've found a lot of recipes, but I'd sure like a tried and true one...hint,hint.

I have never made it - but I sure love it! If I had a recipe I think I'd give it a shot!

HI every one - I will gladly give you the one I have been making for
years - I received this one from Butte Montana, and have made approx.
40 loaves every year for 10 - 15 years. I make it in individual loaves.
Rather than the one big one that is snail fashion.

I love to make and give this as gifts. It is my personal favorite for Christmas.

I will gladly share.

Oh thank you Marye!! It's something that I can still in my mind (or what's left of it) remember the taste of!
