Leftover pasta dough
#7
  Re: (...)
Thursday night, I made pasta dough and realized I had pasta leftover from the night before. I used the leftover pasta, wrapped the dough in plastic and stored in the fridge. Question...Is it still safe to use? I'm worried about the raw egg.

Thanks!

I think you can freeze it.

Thanks Bill. I don't want to freeze it, I want to eat it. I guess if it's safe to freeze, I can eat it.

The egg won't be raw, any more, once you cook the pasta. The only question would be if you had forgotten it, and left it out at room temperature overnight. In that case, I'd toss it.

Thanks Labs....I went ahead and used it. The minute I realized I wasn't going to use it Thursday, I wrapped it tight and stuck it straight in the fridge. It smelled just like fresh dough and actually made up better than usual. I think I'll start making it at least a day ahead from now on.
