So long high pockets! The tall jokes are funny, but they hurt.

I am thinking it's from an Audrey Hepburn movie but not sure. Anyone know?

I've even tried googling it and it's driving me crazy!! It was posted to my site and the person posting it thinks I will never figure it out. So it's a mission right now to then quote back to them another quote from the same movie so they know I know..haha

High Pockets is a character in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. -- found it by searching the web a bit, not because I remembered! Couldn't find documentation of the quote, though.

Could Mickey Rooney have said that in "Breakfast at Tiffaneys"?

Edmond O'Brien is the most likely one to have said this in this movie. Sounds like him.

There is also a 1919 movie titled High Pockets... no script available, that I could find.

Maybe it's in this book???

Not even the Internet Movie Database was helpful for this one. I found there was a 1919 western titled High Pockets, and a couple other movies, including The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and I Was an American Spy, had characters named "High Pockets."

The quote, however, continues to elude us.
