Coq au Vin- REVIEW
#3
  Re: (...)
Another winner from Soups, Stews, and Chilies!

This was soooo yummy and rich! Another do over!

Changes:
-I used a mini bottle of brandy which was probably more like a 1/4 cup instead of a 1/2.
-I used bagged baby carrots instead of fresh. (weren't available)
-I probably cooked it twice as long. (The pieces were REALLY large...what DO they feed these chickens, the breasts were huge. Also, the legs and thighs were attached and I didn't feel like breaking them down. Plus, they weren't any bigger than those breasts!)

Recommendations:
-Use the full amount of brandy.
-Use fresh baby carrots or slice fresh regular. (The ones I used were hard.)
-Break down a fresh chicken instead of buying precut.

I can't believe this book has so many winners. My winter meal plans are getting easier and easier...so many choices from all the winners so far.
