We're off to Seattle area to take my mother and aunt shopping and to lunch, so will probably have leftover Spiedini (can't believe how far 2 chix breast went in this dish) or stop at the casino for Clam chowder...decision, decisions.

What are you all up to?
Retired and having fun writing cookbooks, tasting wine and sharing recipes with all my friends.

Tonight is my monthly book club. The hostess had a death in her family and she's not able to host a meal, so we're going to the new Houlihan's in town. Haven't tried it yet, but others have said it's good.

Enjoy, Jean and Sally! As for me, I'm clueless as for tonite's dinner. I have stuff in the fridge and I need to use it before we take off to spend Thanksgiving with the kids. What I should do is plan the next 3-4 meals to use the this and thats, but so far I'm uninspired. Hopefully I'll get an idea from you guys. Sally and Jean going out to eat so far that's no help LOL

I'm trying to figure out what to do with the leftover pot roast. It turned out so tasty that I hate to do much with it. Might just warm some slices in the gravy and have hot sandwiches with it. Not sure what else.

Cis, do you have Mastercook? You can type in one ingredient in the search and get lots of ideas. I need to go do that myself....

I love Houlihans! It is such a fun place. They usually have great happy hour specials. I typically order the fish tacos, but have never had anything bad there. Even the calamari is delicious. Lucky you!

I am going to make the "Fruits de Mer fettucine with bread crumbs" from the Cuisine for Two book. I am however, making a big change, only using shrimp. We will probably have a ceasar salad with it.

Erin, that chicken lo mein is so fabulous! Even after eating the leftovers for 2 days for lunch, I was still craving more! I guess I will be adding that to this weekends plans too.

I agree, the lo mein is wonderful!

I was going to do either pizza or lasagna soup, but got to the store and they had no Italian sausage OR ground pork to make my own....ARRRRGGGGG! In disgust, I grabbed some smoked sausage and will either do something with tomatoes and okra or plain ol' sausage and rice.

Kambree is headed to Ames to help cheer up a friend that was in a serious car accident yesterday (not hurt but could have been a disaster as she is due in a month) with her Uncle Mark, Holly is stopping by a friend's house and then coming home so we are ordering pizza and sitting around watching tv.
