Saw this while browsing through some recipes on Plate Online:

CORN CILANTRO SHOOTER
Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:
  • 6 Ears Corn, reserving husks and silk
  • 8 Sprigs Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 C Vegetarian broth concentrate
  • 2 Qt Water
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper as needed
  • 2 TBS Cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 C Gin
Instructions:
  1. Remove kernels from corn cobs and reserve.
  2. Place cobs and reserved husks and silk in a saucepot with broth concentrate and water. Simmer 15 minutes. Strain liquid into another pot.
  3. Add kernels to strained liquid and simmer 7 to 9 minutes. Strain, reserving liquid.
  4. Purée corn kernels, adding reserved cooking liquid as needed to blend. Strain purée. Season to taste and reserve liquid to cool.
  5. Add chopped cilantro and gin to liquid and serve.
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

Isn't she though? That shooter looks good. Maybe I'll make it as a soup, half the cilantro and leave the gin out.
