Getting Ready

  Re: (...)
Tomorrow is our big annual picnic.

3 large briskets are in the smoker, 2 1/2 pork loins are slowly cooking away, 18 eggs and 15 lbs of potatoes are on for potato salad. It is all coming together!

Now all I need is some good mojo for NO RAIN tomorrow!

I just smoked 15 lbs of ribs and 8 lbs of sausage. We're having 6 lbs of boiled shrimp with sauce, an old fashioned vegi tray, dips and chips for lunch for the 16 participating members of the Miller family at lunch. Beer, wine , sangria, tea, soft drinks and a bar for lunch.

Individual wood fired pizzas and "Olive Garden" salad for dinner. We are ready!!!
Erin, I feel your pain!! Good luck to both of us!!

It was a great party! It did not rain, but was cool. But that is ok. Not nearly the crowd we usually had, but it was more manageable. Good Food, and fun.

AND, we found out just before the party, Steve was promoted to Lt. Col.!!! WHOOO HOOO! I am so incredibly proud of him.

Wow, congratulations to Steve! That's wonderful news, Erin, and you should be proud of him. Big hugs from this side of the world! Oh, and I'm glad your party went well too.
