From "The Craft of the Cocktail" by Dale DeGroff

Ramos Fizz

1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1 1/4 oz simple syrup
2 oz milk
1 small egg white
2 drops of orange flower water
3 oz club soda

Shake all the ingredients except the soda water with ice and strain into a highball glass without ice. Top with club soda. No garnish.

Golden Fizz

1 1/2 oz gin
1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 oz simple syrup
1 oz beaten egg
club soda or seltzer

Shake all the ingredients, except the soda, long and hard to completely emulsify the egg. Strain into fizz or highball glass without ice and top with club soda.

My ex used to make these in a blender rather than a cocktail shaker.

Oh well, shoot - we had to have some sparkly instead...

I didn't know if I had ever posted this recipe on here -

Ramos Fizzes

Recipe By :Susan Mitchell, 1970s

6 oz. gin
2 oz. white creme de cocoa
2 oz. triple sec
4 oz. sweet & sour
2 egg whites
6 oz. half & half

Add all ingredients in a blender & add lots of ice. Blend.

Man, we loved these watching football years ago. (just found "GO BEARS" on one of the copies of this recipe - so that would have been in the late 70s.

Have fun all - and for those who have never tried them, you really should at least once in your life...

I love these! Thanks, Trace and Sharon for helping out.

I am trying to imagine how they would taste. All I can think of is a 'cold, gin flavored, Tom-n-Jerry'.
