Dinner, April 2, 2010

  Re: (...)
NO FAIR! I have silly little meals all week and the night I decide to make something special, no one posts a dinner thread? I DON'T THINK SO!

Unless the wine gets the better of me, we're having crab stuffed catfish! We'll split a baked potato...maybe...and have a salad.

BTW, I'm rolling the stuffing up in the fillets...what should I call this. I'm also playing with my crab dip recipe and adding some bread crumbs and possibly a chopped boiled egg for binder. (The playing has begun!!!!)

a roulade?

AND I DIDN'T POST THIS THREAD BECAUSE I KNEW IN MY HEART YOU WERE GOING TO HAVE CATFISH AGAIN.

I went with the slow cooker wings instead of the 2nd recipe I was going to try - I had some other cooking to do and this was easier.

We haven't had shrimp and grits for a long time either!

Well, I thought a roulade...but wasn't sure. Now that I've looked at all the recipes...my crab dip, your crab dip, your crab cakes (the dunguness one), I'm thinking of going with the crab cake recipe and adding a bit of cheese for fun!

I'll think of you as I eat it...LOL!

I'm roasting a little turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, asparagus, and custard rich rolls. Oh, and gravy.

I was going to make a s'mores pie - but it's a dark, blustery, rainy day and motivation was seriously missing. It's a good thing it's a little turkey!
