Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - Roxanne 21 - 09-14-2007 This is our favorite salad----I sub the hot sauce though with a bit of lemon/lime. YUMMMMM!!!!! On the menu---- Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - Harborwitch - 09-14-2007 I just happened to pick some tomatoes last night - ooops no moz. must run to the store. Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - pjcooks - 09-14-2007 Nice, Jean! I do this also, Rox, but use a tiny bit of good balsamic instead of the hot. Pretty much summer at its best! PJ Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - cjs - 09-14-2007 Sharon, this one doesn't call for mozz - just parmigiano - stay with us here.... Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - Lorraine - 09-15-2007 Geez, he still has Cherokee Purples in his garden, and I'm not there! I'll try it with some mundane ones. Thanks, Jean! Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - SDRecipeGirl - 09-15-2007 Love the plate Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - Harborwitch - 09-15-2007 Don't mind me - I'm there now! 2 nights with no sleep = basket case. I'm fine now. I think I will make this to go with our Mexican wine bottling dinner tomorrow. Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - rkujan - 09-16-2007 This sounds delicious. I like the addition of the hot sauce. This is a twist on one of my favorite hot weather meals: tomatoes warm off the vine, sweet basil from garden, spicy olive oil, buffalo mozzarella, then add salt and pepper. Re: Summer's Over & I Forgot This!! - rkujan - 09-16-2007 Yeah, and a good balsamic vinegar. |
